Videoscreening "Our Darkness"

The screening "Our Darkness" gathers video works dealing with the weaving of concealed, displaced and repressed within social correlations.
The conflicting relationship between concepts of morality, the satisfaction of one's need and reality's fate or doom are illuminated through different perspectives: Soldiers trying to deal with everyday life after returning home; Ten men deciding the fate of a country at a secret meeting; The radical approach of a woman towards staying young forever; The excluding social history of a museum; The Fall of Communism told through pornography.
The selected works reflect social, political and economic power-structures, addressing the problems of the constructed and biased writing of history as well as the transformation potential of artistic examination.
