One of them will win the Biennale and will have an individual exhibition in 2011. The people who come to the exhibition can also vote for the best artist. Both awards will be presented at the closing of the exhibition on Friday, 16 July 2010 at 7.30.
On the same day Friday, 11 June at 8.30 p.m. the closing of “Psycho Pompos” by Monsieur Zupika and Kinki Texas will take place at Galeria-to-be on Grobla I ( next to 4g).
Three artists-Grzegorz Kwiatkowski (poet), Macieja Salamon and Maciej Chodziński ( visual artists) will show a project titled “Każdy ma prawo do trzydziestu lat klęski/„Everybody has a right to thirty years of failure”. They created a publication called “Powinni się nie urodzić”/“Should not have been born”, that consists of a selection of Kwiatkowski’s poems – some published before and some brand new. Salamon and Chodziński made visual interpretations of the selected poems. Relying on their experience with publishing independent art magazine “Krecha” they prepared a brand new publication, that will be available to guests of the exhibition. Premiere of the publication will be accompanied by an art installation prepared by Chodziński and Salamon, which is another commentary to pessimistic message of Kwiatkowski’s poetry.
The exhibition will be open on 12 and 13 June 2010.
