Visiting Memling

On 12 November 2009, at 5 p.m. at National Museum in Gdańsk ( Toruńska Str. 1) Nicholas Bodde's constructivist triptych unofficially called “Striped Memling” will be presented next to “The Last Judgement” by Hans Memling, the most important object at the Museum.
The work of Nicholas Bodde that was inspired by Memling's painting was created especially for “lost in colour- dialogue 1” exhibition, that was presented at Gdańsk City Gallery's official opening in May 2009.
The work of American-German constructivist will be presented directly next to its great “antecedent” by courtesy of The National Museum in Gdańsk.

"from dialog to golidad" opening

The exhibition "from dialog to goliad" by Dominika Skutnik and Henirk Eiben opened on 2 October in ggm1. It was followed by Aleksandra Staniszewska's fashion show.

Closing of "Tabularium"

On 25 September at the closing of "Tabularium" exhibition in ggm 1 we watched a performance by Leon Dziemaszkiewicz. It was called "Po lesie" / "In the forrest".

Handshakes for peace

1 September 2009 is a 70. anniversary of the beginning of the World War II. Artists Zdzisława Worożańska-Sacher and Bernhard Petz made a performance "Handshakes for peace" at the ggm1. They covered their hands with clay and shook hands with oter people. This way the "hanshakes" were made. You can see the "handshakes" exhibition in Mesnerhaus Mieming in Austria from 12 to 27 September 2009.
